Thank you for visiting this page. I am slowly working on a biography for a young lady who’s life ended tragically too soon. Her life was so promising, and yet so inspiring.

Judith Barsi was born in 1977. She was a child actress, starring in many television shows and movies. Some of her television programs include Cheers, The New Twilight Zone, and even St. Elsewhere. Little Judith also starred in many major movies.
Some of her movie roles include :
Thea: in Jaws the Revenge
Jennifer Mathews: in Eye of the Tiger
Bean: in Slamdance
Molly Read: There Were Times, Dear
Some of her TV roles, guest appearances include:
Kimberly (age 3): Fatal Vision
Kathleen: Do You Remember Love
guest appearance on St. Elsewhere
She also provided the voice in two major animated films:
Ducky: The Land Before Time
Anne-Marie: All Dogs Go To Heaven
Towards the end of this beautiful young actresses career, her father became more and more abusive towards her. Joseph Barsi was an alcoholic, and as the story goes, somewhat jealous and very possessive of his young daughter. Although he loved her very much, he had always threatened to kill her should her mother and her ever try to leave him. This is the one promise he ultimately would hold true on.
Ironic to Judith’s own life, she played a character in a 1982 movie titled Fatal Vision, in which her character: 3 year old Kimberly, would be killed along with her mother and other sibling. Many will remember this movie as it shocked a nation on the late 60’s/early ’70’s (working on getting actual date of actual event) when a military officer killed his wife and two young children and claimed ‘hippies’ had done it. This event wasn’t long after the Manson murder’s.
On July 27, 1988; Joseph would take Judith and her mother’s life. He had discovered that Judith and her mom were planning to leave him. He became enraged and killed them both. After shooting little Judith, and her mother, in the head and setting their bodies on fire; he turned the gun on himself. A young life was tragically lost, along with two other equally important lives.
I was only 14 when this happened, and Judith was only 11. I was so moved by this event, that I started that July writing a song that would eventually end up on a blues tape recorded 6 years later. The song Star Before A Teen started out as a 50’s style song. I was heavily into Buddy Holly at this time. It would be transformed only once into an older jazz/blues style song. A song in which I am currently writing a horn section for. Although I have successfully recorded this song in 1994 with my former band AWC, the song still lacks the horn section, which I believe would provide a ‘wet’ sound and some additional feeling. Also, I may include a piano of some sort for fills here and there. The song is only to grow stronger, as it is inspired by a strong little girl. This song is in memory of her; in her honor.
Thanks again for visiting this page, and please come back again and see what how I change it as my search for information and pictures of her progresses.
