I have had to purchase new hosting at 215/year. I somehow mistimed it while paying monthly bills and am now in debt. I need $116 to get out of it. My previous host went out of business 5 months ago without any warning. I’ve worked very hard to get everything back online. I live on a fixed income due to my spastic Cerebral Palsy. I really need the extra help this time. Please give whatever extra money you can possibly spare no matter how small because every little bit will and does help.

Podcast must not be happening/newsletter and site update sign up

I have tried emailing Sarah DiMeo 4 times; she will not reply. This confuses me. I have promised to help her and promised my other friends would help also, but no word–not even a single one. I am unsure why. It feels like I (and other listeners/fans) are being purposely ignored as I know she has read all my emails. I give up. There is no podcast happening. I’m sorry for getting everyone’s hopes up.

I have put together an email subscription newsletter for anyone interested in receiving all future site updates. The sign up forum is the first widget on the sidebar.

The sign up limit right now is 2000 subscriptions, but I do not expect to hit that limit anytime soon.

I am diligently working on paying off my credit card bill of $193 by June 12. It means taking a ton of surveys that payout very little over time. 70% of that $193 has been used to make this site better. If I cannot update this site for a while after this please understand I am always on the lookout for new or more information and that I have NOT given up on this site. I made a promise to Nancy Kelly over the years I would keep doing this for her and fans until I cannot possibly do so anymore.

$160 by April 6th!…and other updates

Here’s the deal. It costs $29.25 per year to use embed press on the site. This wordpress plugin enables me to post all videos on this website. It would be much easier for me to have a lifetime license, which costs $160. Please help me out. I could really use it. Thanks in advance.

I’ve been steadily adding more articles and pictures to the Articles and Rare pages. So if you haven’t been regularly visiting these pages, do so. Sorry for such a long gap between updates.

Error 404 and so much more

I managed to find the .mp3 sound file I took from the Murder House Flip episode. My Sirv account automatically backs up every media file uploaded to this site which includes .mp3 files–how lucky is that? Thank you, Sirv! The file is back below the mp4 video clip.

With the addition of the plugin WP Last Modified Info, it is now possible to see precisely when each page and post was last modified.

Added a link to a blog article – BTTF# 19: The Tragic Death of Child Actress Judith Barsi in Canoga Park Remembered 25 Years Later–you can see a screen capture of the history of the selling of the house from Judith and Maria’s murder on to the current residents, the Bernal family, as featured on Murder House Flip.

Search box added and cookie notice

For your convenience, I’ve added an ajax powered search to the site. Ajax means it searches and updates the search as you type the words or terms. The search box is located at the end of the menu bar (see below screen capture).

I’ve enabled 3 different statistics collectors on the site, and as such, am required to let browsers/users of this site decide whether or not it is fine with them they are counted. I do and will not have any advertisements. This site will always be free. I do not make any money except for donations. I cannot see anyone’s private information such as their IP address, name, address, email address, phone number, and so forth. That being said, anyone may and can still choose to decline and not be counted as a statistic.

Accessibility added/Globe Magazine Article

For deeply personal reasons, I’ve added a plugin to help the low sighted and blind read this site. I am a disabled person myself; I have no problem going through lengths to adapt my site. Under the + which opens the site widgets, on the right hand side is a blue circular icon with a white figure of a person.

Click on this, and it will give options to change text size, styles, fonts, and screen contrast. It will also read the entire site aloud.

I was going through my old Judith galleries just now when I discovered an old scan I did of a Globe magazine article back in 2010. Apparently, I forgot to list it in the All Articles photo album; major blunder on my part! It is now part of the album on the articles page.

Desperately need help!

I will be painfully honest : I am reaching out to all my friends and the entire internet fan base out here. I need to pay off the credit card I use to maintain the site. I only have until the 12 of January, or 13 days time.

Whew!

For all it’s worth, I am exhausted!

I did meet the $64 goal on January 7, last Wednesday with an $11 surplus I never expected. I’ve already put it toward bettering this site. A final donor gave $4.00; this post is for her.

I’ve changed the theme; surprisingly complex story there. Hopefully it is much easier to load and read. I’ve also replaced the youtube video of TLBT’s theatrical trailer because I recently discovered the previous user whose video I was linking no longer has the account it was posted on. Ay, the consequences of using other people’s videos! The Land Before Time page is here.

If anyone finds any links or images that do not work, please email me. I am not always aware if content isn’t working.

To keep on going

Another generous donation, this time from a fan, came in yesterday. This person was as good as their word as they promised their donation a full week ago. Only $4 more go now. The bill is nearly wiped from its slate. I never thought 2 people could be so giving; I never thought I’d get so close to $64 because no one had been donating lately. I suppose when the goal is clear and deadlines are pressing, the “magic” happens. I am eternally grateful for the support. Only $4 shy! I’m starting to believe again with a little under 5 days to go. Here’s hoping for a little longer. Thank you all who continue with me on this evolutionary journey!
